Cartalax 10vials/box
Product Basic Information
Full Name: Cartalax (Also known as AED, T-31, AC-4)
Nature: A synthetic tripeptide bioregulator with the amino acid sequence Ala-Glu-Asp (alanine-glutamic acid-aspartic acid), derived from the α1 chain fragment of type XI collagen, developed by the Khavinson team at the Institute of Bioregulation and Geriatrics, St. Petersburg, Russia.
Form: Sterile lyophilized powder, common specification 20mg/vial
Uses: Articular cartilage protection, cartilage repair, osteoarthritis, cartilage regeneration after sports injuries, and reagent for in vitro scientific research experiments related to connective tissue aging.
II. Mechanism of Action
Cartalax is a cartilage-targeting gene expression regulator. Through nuclear DNA binding and epigenetic regulation, it achieves a balance between cartilage anabolic and catabolitic metabolism. The core mechanism is as follows:
Activation of synthetic pathways: Upregulation of Sox9 transcription factor activity in chondrocytes, promoting type II... Synthesis of key cartilage matrix components such as type XI collagen (COL2A1) and proteoglycans, enhancing chondrocyte proliferation and vitality.
Inhibition of degradation pathways: Downregulation of Runx2 and matrix metalloproteinases (MMP-9, MMP-13) expression, blocking cartilage matrix degradation and delaying cartilage degeneration.
Anti-aging and anti-inflammatory: Reduction of chondrocyte aging markers (p16, p21), upregulation of longevity-related protein SIRT6; inhibition of synovial inflammation, reducing local joint inflammation.
Tissue specificity: Tripeptide structure homologous to type XI collagen, precisely targeting chondrocytes and fibroblasts, with highly focused action on articular cartilage and connective tissue.
III. Core Scientific Efficacy
Cartilage protection and regeneration: Increases cartilage area index by 18%-38% in in vitro models, promotes hyaline cartilage regeneration, superior to fibrocartilage formed by traditional repair methods.
Osteoarthritis intervention: Inhibits cartilage degeneration, reduces joint inflammation, and is suitable for research on the mechanisms and interventions of osteoarthritis (OA) and cartilage damage.
Sports injury repair: Supports postoperative/ Post-traumatic articular cartilage repair, accelerating cartilage healing and improving joint function recovery.
Connective tissue anti-aging: Delays the aging of connective tissues such as cartilage and intervertebral discs, suitable for research related to age-related joint degeneration.
Synergistic repair potential: Can be used in combination with repair peptides such as BPC-157 and TB-500 to achieve combined cartilage and soft tissue repair research.
